Tenor soloist, David Troiano, who joins the group in Detroit, is a multifaceted musician.
Known for his beautiful lyric voice, Mr. Troiano is also an outstanding organist and an accomplished conductor. As a singer, he completed his Master of Music degree in Voice Performance at Wayne State University (WSU) in Detroit, and as an organist earned a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where he studied with the legendary Marilyn Mason.
He has given voice and organ recitals throughout North America (including the Bahamas), and in Europe he has appeared in concert in Finland, Poland, Portugal and Spain.
In the theater he has been the musical director and conductor of musicals for WSU’s Bonstelle Theater as well as for several other local community theaters. As a choral conductor he has been conducting the International Symphony Singers of Sarnia, Ontario for 15 years, and he is also the conductor of the prizewinning Filarets Mixed Chorus, a Detroit-area Polish Choir celebrating its diamond jubilee this year.
David Troiano is also music director at St. Clare of Montefalco Catholic Church in Grosse Point Park and an instructor of music at St. Clair Community College in Port Huron, Michigan.
